We are looking for an individual who wants to be part of a team that provides exceptional service to our clients, and we have an immediate opening for a Survey Crew Chief located in Colorado.

Responsibilities for this position include: Topographic mapping, boundary surveys, processing field surveys and construction staking, interacting with clients and contractors, and providing Quality Assurance and Quality Control. This position will serve as a crew chief for a field survey crew or alone performing surveys for construction, land development, topographic, right-of-way, ALTA and control survey projects; participates in pre-survey planning meetings with project managers, resident project representatives, engineers, and contractor representatives; provides input for evaluation of members of field survey crew; and instructs and trains survey crew in survey and mapping methods, use of equipment, and field safety procedures.

The Crew Chief position gathers field survey data through use of conventional and Global Positioning System (GPS) methods; sets up, adjusts, maintains and operates surveying equipment, including robotic total station, data collectors, and GPS equipment, in order to measure distances, elevations, and angles; prepares field notes and drawings; and performs field surveying for roadway, railway, bridges, site and land development projects, including installing surveying construction stakes, and locating or establishing vertical and horizontal control, right of way, monuments, corners, boundaries, and property lines. Researches existing record information, including record maps, plans, deeds, easements, and right-of-way documents; and maintains field data records and survey project files.

Required Qualifications:

A minimum of three (3) years of experience
Valid Drivers License
Perform Boundary Surveys
Perform Topographic Surveys
Proficient with the use of Trimble data collectors,Trimble GPS, Trimble robotic total stations and Trimble Business Center
Ability to apply principles and practices of land surveying
Ability to understand and decipher horizontal/verticaldatums and coordinate systems
Ability to work 10-12hr days in remote or rural areas
Ability to work outside in various conditions
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Willing to work out of town/travel
Preferred Qualifications:

Strong CAD skills in AutoCad Civil 3D
Strong attention to detail
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
Strong math skills

Base compensation is expected to be in the range of $55,000 and $90,000, based on skill set and experience. Check out our full benefits package at,
