8:00 - 8:30 Cleanup

Locating Plugged Wells:  Plugged wells can be incredibly dangerous and were the cause of nearly all of the catastrophic explosions we have heard about in the news and are only going to continue to grow more innumerous as oil and gas continues to expand at record rates, constantly conflicting with the ever-expanding housing industry. Please join us for a special interdisciplinary presentation where Jeff will educate our community on abandoned, orphaned, and plugged wells from a geologic perspective.

Presenter information: Jeffrey S. Moore, P.G., Energy & Environment Manager at the City of Aurora. Jeffrey brings over 20 years of experience in Petroleum Geology, Exploration Management, and International Business Development, in addition to 5 years' experience in energy permitting and compliance for local government. Jeffrey is the author of an award-winning book titled We Believed, written to chronicle his family’s story of international adoption and to encourage everyone to pursue big dreams in life!
